SiSEC 2008

Welcome to the main page for the first community-based Signal Separation Evaluation Campaign (SiSEC 2008). SiSEC aims to be a large-scale regular campaign building upon the experience of previous evaluation campaigns and the related panel discussion at ICA'07.

The 8th International Conference on Independent Component Analysis and Signal Separation (ICA 2009) will feature a special session on SiSEC 2008. In addition, entrants not wishing to submit a paper will have the opportunity to present a poster about their approach. No selection will be carried out: all posters are welcome, including those previously presented at other conferences.

April 30, 2008: Call for community-based definition of datasets, tasks and evaluation criteria
July 25, 2008: Evaluation proposal deadline
August 5, 2008: Call for submission of separation results
October 15, 2008: ICA 2009 paper submission deadline
October 31, 2008: Campaign entrance deadline
December 2008: Publication of the results
March 2009: Special session at ICA 2009

We are also thinking of organizing a workshop early 2009 promoting further discussion of evaluation methodology and combination of several algorithms. Let us know if you are interested.
